About Spetses

Spetses is one of the most beautiful and cosmopolitan islands of the Saronic Gulf. What characterizes the natural environment in Spetses is its pines that reach the sea. The capital of Spetses is very beautiful and has many old buildings and mansions where the strong tradition is felt.
The house of Bouboulina, the heroine of the Greek Revolution of 1821, is a private museum today, which is open to visitors. Also, it is worth seeing the City Hall, with the beautiful garden, as well as the Square of the Clock.

In Spetses there are very few cars due to the traffic ban in the city, something that ensures you peace. A unique experience that you can live on the island is a ride on the picturesque horse-drawn carriages of the island.

The scenic walk from the port of Dapia to the Old Port, is something you should not miss. A romantic ride that you can do either by carriage or on foot. On this route you will be impressed with the old mansions of the captain’s houses.

For your entertainment in Spetses you will find many restaurants, taverns, cafes and clubs with excellent service and a variety of products. All the nightlife of the island is located in the Old Port. There you will find the nobility, the tradition and the cosmopolitan life for which the island is famous.

Beaches

Spetses has beautiful beaches, with crystal clear waters, even next to the port in the city of Spetses. There are organized beaches with umbrellas, sunbeds and beach bar, but also beaches where you can find peace and seclusion.

The beach of Agia Paraskevi is probably the most beautiful on the island. It is organized, overgrown with pines that reach the sea, pebbles and crystal clear waters.

The largest and most popular beach of Spetses is on the southwest coast, the beach of Agioi Anargyroi. With pebbles and sandy bottom, it is organized with activities for water sports.
